Stan Read -“The Singing Realtor”

Stan started in the real estate business in 1987 after a 20 year career in the broadcasting industry, including radio, television and syndicated program sales. That background, instilled into his real estate business has been a great preparation to understand the history of sales across the country, but specifically the Sacramento metro area. Being a people person, Stan loves to greet, educate and service the needs of buyers and sellers throughout the region.

Although a resident of Sacramento since 1983, Stan grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, went to the University of Louisville as an English major, and followed his passion of musical performance and acting, leading him to New York City. His work took him to several cities, including New York, Chicago, Sioux City, Reno, San Jose, Fresno and St. Louis. He has family in Ohio, Florida, New York and Texas.

It is fair to say that Stan adopted his new home town of Sacramento with plans to stay permanently. Where else can one experience a dry warm climate where one can be outdoors year around playing tennis, golfing, swimming, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, cycling and taking short trips to anywhere in California including the mountains and the ocean. Relocating people to Sacramento from other parts of North America is a lot of fun. Look at Stan as your guide to a whole new life style that the area provides.

Stan makes ongoing education and knowledge the backbone of his business. Understanding the internet and social media are not only crucial to today’s real estate business, but also a lot of fun in which to participate. Stan joined Keller Williams Realty in 2001 and has been instrumental in helping to grow the company into the 3rd largest real estate firm in North America. Stan is an owner in three market centers.

Stan’s passions include Jazz performance, tennis, Kings basketball, and the great California outdoors. Oh, by-the-way, Family is Number 1! Stan and his lovely wife Ellen, have three kids and five grandchildren between them.
